Nash Kellett was born on May 22, 1999 in Victoria British Columbia. He started his training in Martial Arts at Canada’s Best Karate at age 4 with Shihan Leigh Mueller and continued his training with Leigh and under the constant tutelage of Sensei Rajan Bassi. Nash was a seriously dedicated student and could be found training at the Dojo most days of the week, participating in as many classes as possible. Nash loved competition and entered numerous tournaments placing first and second time after time including the Jimmy Mac Memorial and the Vancouver Island Championships. At age 7 he was invited to be on Team Canada for the first ever World Martial arts Games in Victoria. He achieved his Black Belt at the young age of 10, which only increased his passion for expanding his skills and was awarded his Nidan (2 Degree) Black belt at the age of 13. At this point Nash became Sensei Rajan’s teaching assistant and it was immediately apparent that Nash had a natural talent and personality for teaching and communicating with the young students of Canada’s Best Karate. Nash has been the Head Instructor at Canada’s Best Karate in Esquimalt from 2021 – 2023 and in the fall of 2022 was awarded his Sandan (3rd degree) Black belt. He still competes, fighting in the World Amateur Kickboxing Championships in Orlando Florida in 2017 and more recently winning and placing in the Canadian World Karate and Kicking boxing Championships and has been invited to be on team Canada to compete in the International World Karate and Kickboxing Championships in the fall of 2023.

The next progression in Nash’s career is sharing his passion and skills by opening his own Canada’s Best Karate Club in Sooke, BC in the fall of 2023. CBK are the kids Experts and Nash looks forward to developing Self Respect, Self Discipline and Self Esteem in the youth of Sooke, while also developing some masterful Martial Artists in the process.
